Geneva International Airport (GVA) is situated to the north-west of Geneva city centre.

Straddling the border of Switzerland with France, it has an annual capacity of over 13 million passengers and is well served by flights from domestic and international destinations.

There are a good selection of facilities here, including shops, banks, bureaux de change and a medical centre.

Geneva International Airport (GVA) has a helpful compliment of porters, security staff and information desks. There are information desks situated on the Arrivals level and in the transit area of the Swiss sector, while the French sector has a different and independent information service. Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets


Geneva International Airport (GVA) has a reasonable selection of duty-free and retail outlets spread throughout the airport. There are duty-free sections after Check-in on the ground floor and in Departures on the first floor. Shops in the airport include a perfume shop, a hairdresser, a pharmacy, an electronics shop, a chocolaterie, clothes shops, retail chain stores such as Tie Rack and Swatch, and designer boutiques including Hermes and Cartier. Most shops are located on the first floor near Departures.

Bars, Cafés and Restaurants


There is a good selection of bars, cafés and restaurants at Geneva International Airport (GVA) selling a variety of food and drinks. Most of these are located on the second floor, on the first floor near Departures or in the basement near Arrivals. Restaurants include Le Dragon d'Or, Plein Ciele, Martel Tea Room, Pub Follow Me and a Pret a Manger sandwich store.

Currency Exchange, Communications and Banking Facilities


There are American Express bureaux de change located in Departures and Arrivals. There is a post office situated next to Arrivals and there are ATM machines dotted around the airport. There are also banks and a mobile phone rental shop in the airport. For business travellers, the SkyCom Business Centre hires out private offices and conference rooms, which are fully equipped with PCs, faxes and modems (tel: +41 22 799 3346).

Disabled Facilities


Disabled passengers are fully catered for at Geneva International Airport (GVA). The car-parks and public areas have ramps and are fully accessible to wheelchair users. Trained staff that can provide disabled people with help in transferring from Departures to Arrivals are on hand.
